CBRE selected for Wigan disposals

CB Richard Ellis has been appointed for the disposals of the Cranberry Lodge and Britannia Inn sites in Wigan.

The 1.06-acre Cranberry Lodge is a part-completed residential development site with planning permission for 50 apartments laid out in three blocks. The asking price is in the region of £1m.

The 0.4-acre Britannia Inn, which has an asking price of £400,000, is a cleared development site with planning consent for 20 two-bedroom apartments, laid out over two blocks. Both sites are located on Wigan Road, near to the M6 motorway.

Gemma Berrie, surveyor in the leisure and alternative investment team at CBRE North West, said: "Both sites present a plethora of possibilities to capitalise on their location in a busy area of Wigan, with a large volume of traffic travelling through the area.

"Cranberry Lodge could be completed for residential use or varied for an element of care, whereas Britannia Inn would be particularly suitable for commercial uses, including retail or leisure."

CB Richard Ellis is acting on behalf of receiver, Begbies Traynor.
