CBRE replaces WHR on Media City
Peel Group has appointed the North West office agency team at CB Richard Ellis as joint advisors on the development at Salford Quays.
Peel said CBRE's role will be to explore opportunities with regional businesses, and to employ its global network to continue to raise the profile of Media City UK with national and international companies.
The firm will work with businesses within the creative and media sectors, from broadcast producers and advertising agencies to video game developers.
Stephen Wild, managing director of Media City UK, said: "It is important that we have the strongest team to work with occupiers and we are pleased to bring CBRE's expertise and knowledge on board. As joint advisors with Cushman and Wakefield, it will strengthen our firepower in these key regional and international markets."
The first phase of Media City UK extends to more than 1.5m sq ft and there is space available in three commercial office towers, Blue, White and Orange, providing a full range of accommodation, ranging from suites of 1,000 sq ft to 100,000 sq ft. Flexible space on a short-term lease is also available within The Greenhouse building.
Media City UK features one of the biggest HD broadcast facilities in Europe with seven HD studios, two audio studios and a wide range of media services. The complex, operated through Peel's partnerships with Satellite Information Services, will be used by the BBC, as well as independent operators and content producers.
WHR Property Consultants were previously joint letting agent on the development.
