CBRE recruits Thomasson to run investment team
CBRE has appointed senior investment adviser Colin Thomasson to head its capital markets department in the North West.
Thomasson joins CBRE from private property investment company Ashall Property, where he was investment director for three years.
Prior to working for Ashall Property, Thomasson headed DTZ's investment team in Manchester for 15 years focusing on investment sales, acquisitions and development finance. He was then appointed as chief operating officer for the firm's New York office where he led a team of 100 capital market specialists.
He said: "I am very much looking forward to the opportunity of working with such a prestigious company and team in the region. The economy is in a difficult place at the moment, however CBRE continuously defies the state of the market and achieves success."
John Ogden, managing director of CBRE Manchester, said: "We are pleased that Colin is joining the capital markets team, he brings with him a wealth of experience perfectly complementing CBRE's expertise. Colin is a key player in the industry and has a vast amount of knowledge of the sector in the North West and on an international scale."
Well Done

Interesting to see how CT will cope with the CBRE politics and corporate green tape at CBRE.
