CBRE markets ‘unique’ Middleton warehouse

CBRE has been appointed to market a 100,000 sq ft cross docked warehouse in Middleton near Oldham.

The unit on Stakehill Industrial Estate, owned by an undisclosed private investor, is the only cross docked facility of its kind in the North West, CBRE claims.

Cross docking involves unloading from one trailer to load straight onto another, to separate goods bound for different destinations or to move from large to smaller vehicles.

The fully refurbished secure distribution facility, located close to Junction 20 of the M62, comprises of 102,855 sq ft with the benefit of 10 metre eaves height, cross dock loading and three large yards.

Paul Cook, associate director of CBRE, said: "This is the only 100,000 sq ft cross docked facility in the North West which benefits from being superbly located within easy reach of the M62, making the site extremely accessible to both the North West and Yorkshire occupiers."

Occupiers already located at Stakehill include Tesco, Aldi, SSL, Christian Salvesen.

CBRE is joint agent with King Sturge.
