CBRE hires from Keppie Massie

The Liverpool office of CBRE has appointed Andrew Byrne as senior surveyor within its office agency team.

Byrne joined from rival firm Keppie Massie, where he was a senior surveyor.

His appointment follows the transfer of director Mark Worthington to CBRE's Manchester office earlier this year, to replace director Alex Russell who joined Property Alliance Group. Associate director Neil Kirkham now heads up the Liverpool office agency team.

CBRE is instructed on several large Liverpool developments including 4 St Paul's Square, the Royal Liver Building and 1 Mann Island. Recent office transactions this year include the 55,000 sq ft acquisition of Building 3300 in Daresbury Park for Ombudsman Services and the eighth floor letting to intellectual property firm WP Thompson at 1 Mann Island.

John Ogden, head of CBRE's North West business and the office agency division, said: "Andrew has a superb track record and will further strengthen our already significant presence in Liverpool. The North West office market is certainly gathering pace and following our recent restructuring of the division, we are in the best possible position to capitalise on the opportunities of the recovering market for our extensive client base."
