CBRE appoints new director

Bill Godwin has joined CBRE as regional operations director working on its Northern team.

Godwin has relocated from Bristol where he worked on CBRE's South West and Midlands team, and is now based at the firm's Manchester office.

He will head up the facilities management arm of the Northern property and asset management division managing a team of 108 site-based staff, together with 12 facility managers.

John Lea, senior director of CBRE, said: "Bill's new position within the company is part of a strategic internal restructure.

"The property and asset management sector of the business has grown steadily over the last year and Bill's 20 years of experience in customer service and skills will mean that he will play a pivotal role in the anticipated future growth of the company."

In the North West, CBRE manages more than 22m sq ft of commercial properties with an annual rental income of £172m and procure £28m of services each year.

CBRE was recently appointed to manage Belvedere in Manchester on behalf of Deka; Heywood Business Park and Trafford Park Industrial Estates on behalf of Heref; Robin Retail & Leisure Park on behalf of Prupim and Lionbrook.
