Cassidy + Ashton adds to Lancs office

Preston and Chester-based architects Cassidy + Ashton has promoted Chris Taylor to director and hired Shona Scales from Calderpeel.

Taylor, based in the Preston office in East Cliff, joined the practice in 2001 and qualified as an architect in 2005. He became an associate director in 2007. He joins nine fellow directors at the practice founded in 1960 by Gerald Cassidy and Bernard Ashton.

Scales joins the same office as architect and will be responsible for feasibility studies, drawing, design development and project management.

Cassidy + Ashton's projects include Bolton School, UCLan's faculty of dentistry, Stonyhurst College, and the £43m new Spar distribution centre at Preston East.
