Casey to deliver NOMA public realm

The Casey Group has won a £5m contract to design and build a new public realm area at the Co-operative Group's £800m NOMA redevelopment in Manchester city centre.

The Rochdale-based company will deliver a public square in the 20-acre estate between the CIS Tower, Hanover House and New Century House with work including site preparation, removal of existing services, installation of drainage, external lighting, hard landscaped areas, street furniture, and planting trees and grassed areas.

The public realm aspect was designed by Planit-IE.

NOMA is the mixed-use redevelopment project being delivered in a joint venture between the Co-operative Group and Hermes. The £800m scheme will be delivered over 10-25 years.

Casey's contract is part of phase two and three of the NOMA development.
