The Birkenhead-based legal firm has taken 19,400 sq ft within No1 Tithebarn in Liverpool’s central business district on a six-year lease.
The office will be Carpenters’ first in Liverpool city centre.
Speed Medical, a medical reporting firm, also recently agreed to lease the 7,677 sq ft top floor office suite in the building.
CBRE Liverpool and Worthington Owen are joint agents on No1 Tithebarn. Carpenters was unrepresented.
No1 Tithebarn is a 115,000 sq ft, eight-storey office with ground floor retail units located at the junction of Old Hall Street and Tithebarn Street. The property sits directly above Moorfields Station and is owned by Jolivet Group. It is currently undergoing a refurbishment.
Andrew Byrne, senior surveyor at CBRE Liverpool, said: “This is an excellent result for No1 Tithebarn and demonstrates the appeal of the building and the positive response to the investment into its internal upgrade. It is also good news for the Liverpool city centre office market that a deal of this magnitude has completed after several months of much smaller transactions.”
