Care scheme approved

Acting on behalf of HB Villages, the Manchester office of development consultancy Peter Brett Associates has secured planning permission for the conversion of eight residential units in south Liverpool into 12 supported living units.

Cobblestone Corner in Ivy Avenue, Garston, will be managed by Inclusion Housing with Leonard Cheshire Disability providing on-site care support.

Michael Gilbert, principal planner at PBA, said: "The plans by HB Villages to refurbish and extend the existing residential accommodation at Cobblestone Corner will bring it back to full occupancy and provide much needed housing and support services for residents with learning and physical disabilities.

"There is currently a shortage of such accommodation across the country, and we have recently secured planning permission for many similar facilities."
