Capital submits further plans for Estuary Commerce Park

Capital & Centric has submitted a planning application for a further £3.5m phase of development at Estuary Commerce Park in Speke, Liverpool.

It proposes the construction of 40,000 sq ft of offices and warehousing on the 3.5 acre brownfield site adjacent to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The scheme will be Capital & Centric's third project in the area following completion of the 80,000 sq ft Estuary Banks last year and the soon to be completed 60,000 sq ft Speke Business Park on the other side of Speke Boulevard.

The land is being acquired from the Homes & Communities Agency.

Earlier this year Capital & Centric reached an agreement with the HCA to acquire the 250,000 sq ft Littlewoods Building on Edge Lane and commences construction on the first phase known as the Bunker Building in the coming weeks.

The architects on the estuary Commerce Park scheme are Manchester-based SixTwo.

A decision on the planning application is expected towards the end of November.
