Capital & Centric unveils Edge Lane office design
Capital & Centric plans to create 17,500 sq ft of offices designed by Shedkm next to the former Littlewoods Pools buildings off Edge Lane in Liverpool.
The developer has submitted an application to convert a derelict warehouse known as the bunker building into 18 small office suites starting from 320 sq ft.
The developer recently submitted a separate planning application to convert the Littlewoods Pools into a 104-bed hotel, 50,000 sq ft of business units and 50,000 sq ft of offices.
A planning decision on the £4m Bunker project is due in March and work could start on site towards the middle of this year.
Tim Heatley, director of Capital & Centric, said: "We wanted to create great value incubation space for business start-ups and other small and growing businesses – they need somewhere that looks cool and gives them their own identity."
The site is being acquired by Capital & Centric from the Homes & Communities Agency.
The real big project is the Littlewoods building next door which will hopefully be on site later in the year, it will be good to see some progress on this too though.
