CAB takes office at Lodge House

Citizen's Advice Bureau has taken 1,100 sq ft at Anvic Developments' office development at Lodge Square on Cow Lane in Burnley town centre.

The new office will act as a headquarters for Burnley and Pendle's Citizen's Advice Bureau team, while a presence is being maintained in Nelson, Colne and Barnoldswick in east Lancashire.

Claire Strachan, the manager of Burnley Citizen's Advice Bureau, said: "We currently service over 10,000 clients each year, so there's a great call for our services. However, like many organisations we've faced funding challenges in the current climate and our move to Lodge House is a key part of our response to those challenges.

"We're always looking for new volunteers and we think that the broader experience they'll get working here in this excellent facility will be a real pull.

"Lodge House mirrors the changing CAB offer to Burnley and Pendle: more efficient, more modern, bigger, better, more accessible."

As well as Lodge House, Anvic Developments also owns City View House, located just off Mancunian Way in Manchester.

Details of the rental agreement was not disclosed.
