The restaurant, which closed in October after being put into administration by Living Ventures, has been taken over by Aiden Byrne, who oversaw the operation under Tim Bacon from its 2013 opening.
Byrne said yesterday that reservations will open from next week, with the restaurant to open in early December. In 2017 he left Manchester House to launch 20 Stories, across Spinningfields, as chef director for D&D London, but left in October.
He has reportedly secured backing from investors with experience in the sector to launch a revitalised operation at the destination, which sits at the top of the Tower 12 building.
Byrne, who in the 1990s became the youngest chef to win a Michelin star, said: “I’m hoping Manchester House will once again confirm itself as a staple on the Manchester dining scene, exactly where it belongs. I feel like this is the perfect time and place for me to continue my craft. I’m extremely excited by the opportunity.
“Manchester House has always been about pushing the boundaries, delivering a unique fine dining experience and staying true to that endeavour. It belongs to Manchester, an institution in its own right and we want our customers to feel as if they belong here too.
“There will be changes to come but at the moment we are keen to get the restaurant open for trading.”
