BWB boosts acoustics offering

Three acoustics specialists have joined BWB Consulting, joining from Wardell Armstrong, Hann Tucker, and Leeds Beckett University.

Last week saw graduate acoustic consultant, James Norman join the engineering and environmental design consultancy after graduating from Leeds Beckett University.

His appointment follows Lucy Elmer, who became part of the team as an acoustic consultant following a move from Wardell Armstrong. She was joined by Lewis Stonehouse, previously at Hann Tucker Associates, who will advise on BWB’s architectural acoustics capability.

The acoustics team was established by Mike Barrett, who joined from WSP. Since adding the service to BWB, Barrett said he has seen demand increase rapidly, which has led to the growth of the team.

BWB’s Manchester office is in its tenth year in the city, and has provided multidisciplinary environmental and transport support on the recently approved Royal Canal Works scheme in Stretford, and ongoing civil and structural engineering advice on Islington Wharf.
