Business tourism on agenda for CityCo breakfast

There are still a few places available at CityCo's next City Conversation event in June which will examine the future of business tourism in Manchester.

Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, will give an overview of the city's performance nationally and internationally, and how it aims to maximise opportunities going forward.

Angie Robinson, chief executive of Manchester Central, formerly G-Mex, will look at the role played by the convention centre and discuss the future developments.

John McLaughlin, newly appointed general manager of Hilton Manchester Deansgate, will provide a fresh take on the challenges Manchester needs to meet, and how it can out-perform its peers.

The event is due to take place at Hilton Manchester Deansgate from 8am to 10am on Tuesday 19 June. Attendance is free of charge to members and associate members of CityCo and the Piccadilly Partnership. A number of tickets will also be available for non-members to attend at a cost of £20 per person. Email events@cityco.com to book a place.

CityCo is the city centre management and marketing company of Manchester City Council.
