A two-day sustainable building event for those working within the forestry, architecture and building sectors will be held at the end of October.

The Sustainable Way Conference and Exhibition, taking place at Shuttleworth College in Burnley, will include topics on affordable sustainability for the construction industry, engaging communities, upgrading existing housing stock and the economics of sustainable building.

Amongst those giving talks at the event include Rob Cowan of Urban Design Skills, chief executive of UK Green Building Council, Paul King, and Royal Institute of British Architects' Ruth Reed.

Elevate, the housing market renewal agency for East Lancashire, is joint organiser of the event.
