Burnley commissions Padiham town centre study

Burnley Council is inviting consultants to bid for the chance to carry out a retail, office and leisure supply and demand study of Padiham town centre.

The contract is due to begin next month and finish in November 2009. It will look at changes in the town's retail, office and leisure offer since 1997, its strengths and weaknesses and scope for additional floorspace.

The study will be used to inform the council's strategy for Padiham in the future. The closing date for tender submission is 24 August.
