Building repairs contract available in Barrow
Barrow Council is inviting expressions of interest for a £4m contract overseeing building and maintenance requirements on its housing stock.
The council wants to appoint a contractor or consortium to cover all of the main building maintenance areas including brickwork, plastering, joinery, electrical, painting, glazing, gas work and plumbing.
Barrow Council's housing stock currently consists of 2,716 properties across Barrow in Furness.
The council said the four year contract has an option of being extended a further two years subject to satisfactory performance, service delivery and cost evaluation.
The successful contractor or consortium would be required to provide out of hours emergency service as part of the contract agreement.
Deadline for submitting tenders is 12pm on Friday 24 September.
