Buckshaw Village shows resilience with latest deals
The industrial hot spot of Chorley in Lancashire has started 2008 in continued good health with a flurry of deals at Buckshaw Village.
At Redrow-Barratt's Binary Court, part of Matrix Park, Design & Technical Services has bought a 7,534 sq ft unit for £520,000. The value reflects a discount for a mezzanine floor of around 2,000 sq ft included in the total floor area.
Meals on wheels operator Wharfdale Homecare is close to completing the purchase of a 3,250 sq ft unit, also in Binary Court, for an undisclosed price.
The latest deals leave four units from 3,250 sq ft to 9,000 sq ft at Binary Court.
King Sturge and DTZ advised Redrow-Barratt. Both buyers were unadvised.
Also reporting deals is Helios City at the CBRE investor-funded Buckshaw Link near Matrix Park. Two units totalling 30,000 sq ft are under offer for leaseholds at quoting rents of £5.75 sq ft. One prospective tenant is an import-export distributor and the other is a local manufacturer.
King Sturge and Bailey Deakin & Hamiltons are advising Helios City.
