Bruntwood Works to transform Lancastrian’s roof terrace

Making the most of the building’s views of the Lancashire County Cricket Club, the 5,000 sq ft refurbishment aims to create both a workspace and event spot.

Bruntwood Works subsidiary CubicWorks is the contractor for the project. Work began on the site in May and should finish this summer.

Once complete, the open-air terrace will be available for social events and collaboration for Lancastrian leaseholders. There will also be an indoor lounge space with designated workspaces, informal meeting booths and a refreshment station. Shower and bathroom facilities are also being improved as part of the project.

“It’s our mission to create workspaces that meet the needs of customers and their employees, both now and in the future,” said Andrew Cooke, strategic director at Bruntwood Works. “Inspiring, innovative spaces that can bring people back together again and promote a sense of community are top of business’ wish lists now more than ever.”

“The impressive new roof terrace and lounge at Lancastrian will put connection at the heart of the working day and will be the perfect backdrop for events and collaboration, right in time for the return to the office this summer,” he continued.

The 100,000 sq ft Lancastrian is filled with flexible workspaces. It is divided into four wings, each named after a local cricket legend: Washbrook, Duckworth, MacLaren and Stratham. The Lancastrian is located along Talbot Road in Old Trafford.
