Brooks Macdonald FD to join Assura

Assura Group, the publicly listed primary care landlord, has recruited Jonathan Murphy as finance director from Brooks Macdonald Funds.

Murphy will take up the post at Warrington-based Assura on 2 January 2013. He joined fund manager Brooks Macdonald, where he was also FD, through the acquisition of Braemar Group in 2010. Since then Braemar's property assets under management have grown from £500m to £865m.

He qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked for Spirit Group and Vodafone.
