Bride Hall readies Pepper Street for second wave of restaurants

Bride Hall Real Estate, the owner of Grosvenor Shopping Centre in Chester, has submitted a planning application for another five restaurant units on Pepper Street, after recently completing the first phase of its dining quarter project.

Last week Opera Grill opened on Pepper Street, the last restaurant to move into one of four new units created by Bride Hall in a former Methodist Chapel, a vacant Habitat unit, and a garage. The other occupiers are Chimichanga, Coast to Coast, and Las Iguanas.

On the North side of Pepper Street, Bride Hall is now planning to convert the ground and first floor of Pepper House from retail use to accommodate a further five eateries.

Attached to the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, part of the 1960s building was left vacant following the relocation of Laura Ashley.

The scheme, designed by HFM Architects, would include South facing terraces on the first floor to allow for external dining, and entrances directly from the street.
