Bramall Hall renovation nears completion

CBRE's Manchester specialist markets team has been appointed by Stockport Council to source an operator for a renovated café within the historic Bramall Hall and Park visitor attraction near Stockport.

The grade 1-listed manor house and gardens are currently undergoing £2m renovation financed by a £1.6m Heritage Lottery Fund grant which are due for completion in summer 2015. The café will provide 45 indoor and a minimum of 60 external covers and be located within the former stable block at the gated entrance to the newly landscaped walled gardens.

Lorna Pass, graduate surveyor in CBRE's specialist markets team, said: "We are very excited about bringing this unique opportunity to the market and will be seeking expressions of interest by 29 August 2014. The café at Bramall Hall and Park, which would be open year-round, offers a fantastic and exclusive opportunity within this historic landmark.

"The unit will be provided as a shell, ready to be transformed to a café/tea room which is sympathetic to its surroundings and able to draw on local and tourist trade."

The project team for the development stage of the building work on Bramall Hall and redevelopment of the stable block architect are Lloyds Evans Prichard, structural engineer the Morton Partnership, quantity surveyor Appleyard & Trew, mechanical and electrical engineer Bob Costello Associates and CDM co-ordinator Donn Management.
