Braemar portfolio continues to rise

Brooks Macdonald Group, the Manchester-based fund manager, said assets under management at its property subsidiary Braemar Estates rose 2.9% since the end of June to £1.07bn.

In a quarterly update to the stockmarket, AIM-listed Brooks Macdonald said as at 30 September discretionary funds under management totalled £5.37bn, an increase of 5.2%.

Chris Macdonald, chief executive of Brooks Macdonald, said: "The group has made a good start to the year reporting solid growth in funds under management across the group. Total discretionary funds under management rose 5.2%, driven by a combination of performance gains and organic growth."

Braemar Estates is based in Hale, Trafford and Brooks Macdonald has an office in One Marsden Street, Manchester city centre.
