Brabners acquires Murphy Hodgkinson

Law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has announced that it will take over the Liverpool-based specialist property law practice on 1 May 2011.

The take over will see 11 staff from Murphy Hodgkinson join Brabners Chaffe Street's offices in both Liverpool and Manchester and the turnover of the combined firm is expected to exceed £31m.

Karen Murphy, who established Murphy Hodgkinson in 2000, will lead Brabners Chaffe Street's residential development team and will be based in Liverpool.

Brabners Chaffe Street currently has 379 staff based in offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Preston.

Murphy Hodgkinson's office is based in Water Street in Liverpool city centre.
