Box Bar pinned for 125 Deansgate
Arc Inspirations, which owns the Banyan and Manahatta brands, plans to open the fourth branch of its Box Bar concept in an 8,000 sq ft unit in the recently completed 125 Deansgate, a 117,000 sq ft mixed-use building in Manchester.
Spread across the ground and first floor of a unit that fronts Brazennose Street, the city centre site marks the sports bar brand’s first venture outside Leeds, where three of its sites are already operational.
On Deansgate, the main bar will be located on the ground floor, according to the planning application submitted to Manchester City Council. Arc expects to submit a separate application for an outdoor seating area.
Mowbray Design Architects is the architect for the scheme. Fusion by Design is the interior designer.
The 11-storey office building, developed and owned by Worthington Properties, is occupied by Spaces, the co-working arm of serviced office provider Regus.
Spaces is letting around 50,000 sq ft to BT on a temporary basis as the telecoms provider prepares to relocate to a new permanent office, believed to be at English Cities Fund’s New Bailey in the city centre.
Knight Frank, Savills and Cheetham & Mortimer are the agents for 125 Deansgate.
