Bowker Sadler hires director

Bowker Sadler Architecture has appointed Daniel Labella as director, who joins the Stockport-based practice after spending more than 20 years at the Fairhursts Design Group.

Labella was associate director from August 1994 until August 2017 at Fairhursts, and worked on projects at MediaCityUK and Golden Gate Housing Trust’s headquarters at Bank Park House in Warrington.

He is Bowker Sadler’s fourth director and joined the practice’s 20-strong team in September. In his role as director, Labella will target new work in commercial, mixed-use and higher education, alongside projects outside Bowker’s home market in the North West.

Managing director Alan Sadler said: “We are in a great position in terms of our repeat work load and Daniel’s appointment will no doubt open doors in terms of potential new clients and sectors.”

Labella added: “I came to a point in my career where I fancied another challenge. I spent a while doing my homework on potential other practices and felt that the drive, enthusiasm and design ethos of Bowker Sadler matched my own.”

Bowker Sadler is the architect involved in the 145-property Edge Lane development for Liverpool Mutual Homes, with plans submitted for the scheme in August this year.
