Booths lets Penrith unit to rural retailer

Outdoor clothing retailer Mountain Warehouse has opened a 6,000 sq ft store next to the new Booths supermarket in Penrith, Cumbria.

Mountain Warehouse signed a 10-year lease on 6,093 sq ft at Brunswick Road with landlord Booths Penrith at an undisclosed sum. Robert Pinkus & Co. acted on behalf of Booths.

The Booths Penrith store opened in November along with a WCF Country Centre, selling rural goods from animal feed to garden equipment, opposite a refurbished Morrisons foodstore.

Claire Caunce, retail surveyor at Robert Pinkus & Co, said: "Feedback from the local community and visitors to the new development has been very positive so far and we wish Mountain Warehouse every success in their new Penrith location."

Does this branch of Booths sell cooked chickens? Someone on this forum mentioned they were excellent.

By Stan Black

That was me stan thanks for remembering. My point was actually in relation to the fresh fish offer I understand the hot food (which isn’t just chicken) is standard.
