Boomerang shortlists two for Manchester base

BAM Properties' St Peter's Square in Stockport and Argent/Carlyle's 3 Piccadilly Place in Manchester are in the final round of the contest to land the c25,000 sq ft requirement.

Cushman & Wakefield is advising the unnamed acquiring party in the office negotiations. The codename was supposedly chosen because the corporate involved is returning to the region after a period of absence.

If the deal goes to St Peter's Square it would be a solid start for the 50,000 sq ft scheme, which completed last June. It was the first significant speculative office space completed in Stockport town centre for several years. Argent and Carlyle have let around 60% of the 190,000 sq ft in 3 Piccadilly Place in central Manchester. Tenants include NHS North West, Weightmans, the Insolvency Service and Orega.

Edwards & Co and GVA Grimley are agents on St Peter's Square. GVA Grimley and Savills are retained at Piccadilly Place.
