Kate Ingram, head of economy & growth at Burnley Council, Tim Webber, chairman of Barnfield Construction, and Dave Walker, co-founder of The Landmark, have all joined the line-up at this half-day event which will showcase the next development opportunities in the Lancashire town.

Burnley: Building 10 years of growth

The half-day conference on Tuesday 30 October will discuss the shovel-ready sites for housebuilders, the opportunities for retailers in a regenerated town centre, and the impact of Burnley’s strengthening position as a digital hub.

This year has seen Burnley Council adopt its Local Plan, which will guide development into the 2030s, and is developing its Town Centre Masterplan, with a series of sites earmarked for the next swathe of homes and leisure space.

With the University of Central Lancashire’s well-established Burnley campus attracting a wider range of students every year, the event will also discuss how best to deliver on the accommodation and leisure needs of an increasingly youthful town.

The conference will take place at the Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester, with an 8am start to networking, and presentations starting at 8.30am. The conference will end at noon for lunch.
