BOOK NOW | Education Update

Hear from the University of Manchester, Broadway Malyan, Wates Group and more at this special event focusing on property development in the education sector.

Schools are expanding at pace, universities are changing the face of our towns and cities; national skills shortages are encouraging the construction of privately-funded specialist training centres.

How can you break into this ever-growing sector, and ensure that the projects and plans are futureproofed to enable the effective education of the generations to come?

Taking place on Thursday 7 November at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, the half-day conference will analyse primary, secondary and further education schemes, looking at the different skills required to work in each sector, examples of intelligent design and international best practice.

Speakers confirmed so far include:

  • Diana Hampson, director of estates and facilities, University of Manchester
  • Harry Hoodless, director, Broadway Malyan
  • Dr Simon Hyde, headmaster, The King’s School Macclesfield
  • Gavin King, director, SpaceInvader
  • Tom Jonson, director of landscape architecture, LUC
  • John Foster, pre-construction director, Wates Group

Chaired by Jessica Middleton-Pugh, editor, Place North West

More speakers are to be announced in the coming weeks.

The event starts at 8am for networking, with presentations beginning at 8.45am. The conference closes at noon for further networking and lunch.

Tickets are priced at £60+VAT.
