Boodles launches new concept for hotel shops

The property team at law firm Hill Dickinson's Liverpool office has advised upmarket jeweller, Boodles, on the acquisition of its new 850 sq ft boutique at London's newly refurbished Savoy Hotel.

The team advised Boodles in relation to the agreement for lease, new lease and licence for alterations. The new store will form part of a new retail offering for the hotel and is due to open in a matter of weeks.

Abby Dry, partner at Hill Dickinson, said: "We have been working with Boodles for many years now and we were extremely pleased to have been an instrumental part of this deal, which will see the opening of what will be the fifth Boodles store in the city, situated in the heart of the Savoy's flagship London hotel."

Nicholas Wainwright, joint managing director and owner of Merseyside-based Boodles, said: "This is a very exciting new concept for the company and if successful will be repeated at other appropriate hotels in other countries. Hill Dickinson did another marvellous job on our lease."

Boodles now has nine stores nationwide.
