Bolton homes nearing completion

St Vincent's Housing Association said the eight houses in Wright Street in Horwich, Bolton, will be completed at the end of March.

Kirkham-based Croft Goode Architects designed the homes, while contractor RBL Construction was appointed on the £810,000 scheme.

The project met level three of the Government's Code for Sustainable Homes which means the homes will generate 25% less carbon than is allowed under current building regulations.

The scheme is part of the transforming estates programme, an initiative by Bolton Community Homes to deliver low-carbon housing for local people.

Bolton Community Homes is a partnership involving housing associations, such as St Vincent's and Bolton Council, which makes land available.

Croft Goode Architects said the three bedroom homes are expected to be pre-let ahead of completion.
