Bolesworth expands rural business park

Developer-contractor Seddon has been appointed by Bolesworth Estate to carry out a £2.6m expansion of its business park in west Cheshire.

Seddon will build a 7,000 sq ft equine veterinary centre for Cheshire Equine Clinic and a two-storey 12,000 sq ft office and 3,000 sq ft distribution store for Cogent Breeding, a dairy breeding and testing company.

The new buildings at Chowley, near Tattenhall, will reflect the style of existing offices and converted farm buildings, with work expected to be completed by March 2015.

Bolesworth Estate has been owned by the Barbour family since 1856 and they have been at the forefront of diversification into rural business space. The estate currently has 140 commercial tenants across the estate's 6,000 acres, which between them employ nearly 1,000 people.

The architect is Northwest Design, based in Kelsall.
