Body Shop adds to Lowry makeover

Peel said its newly acquired Lowry Outlet Mall, facing Media City UK, is up to 90% full as it announced the latest letting.

Since Peel bought the 300,000 sq ft mall in Salford Quays from Emerson in August the new owner has completed deals with Granite Outdoors, Puma, Blackwell Books and Pussycat London as it looks to target affluent shoppers based in Media City's offices a couple of hundred yards away.

Body Shop took 910 sq ft on the ground floor and will open on Thursday 6 December.

Peel said the mall's total sales are up 10.2% in the year to date and footfall has increased 7%. Keith Hughes, centre manager, said: "With Media City UK continuing to develop and ITV having recently begun moving in, the centre is well placed to take advantage of a growing marketplace."

The headline rent is £20/sq ft. CHD Property advises Peel Outlets.
