BMI Healthcare takes South Manchester office building

BMI Healthcare has taken the whole of 10 Eden Place, a 14,790 sq ft office in Cheadle, south Manchester, owned by CBRE Investors, on a 10-year lease.

The deal, for an undisclosed sum, is among the largest South Manchester office acquisitions this year.

Justin Rouse of P3, advising BMI, said: "BMI Healthcare wanted this new operation to be close as possible to their base at The Alexandra Hospital and their existing offices at neighbouring Haw Bank House. Eden Place not only met all operational requirements, but is ideally situated and offers the added benefit of being a self-contained building.

"This deal represents one of the largest lettings in South Manchester so far this year and one of P3's first completed office acquisitions since we established our business at the beginning of the year, so we are delighted that the transaction progressed so smoothly."

P3 was established by agency directors Phil Meakin, Peter Gallagher and Paul Daye when they left Erinaceous, prior to its collapse due to £200m of debt.

BMI Healthcare is Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with nearly 50 acute hospitals and over 2,400 beds nationwide, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

Canning O'Neill and CBRE advised the landlords.
