B&M chooses Snipe for next store

Aberdeen Asset Management, represented by Savills, has let a 30,000 sq ft unit at Snipe Retail Park in Ashton-under-Lyne to B&M.

The bargain retailer has agreed a 15-year lease for a 30,000 sq ft store at a rent of £14/sq ft.

The unit is being completely refurbished before occupation by B&M, with the works managed by Savills due to complete this month.

Snipe Retail Park offers 242,000 sq ft of retail space across 15 units, let to occupiers including B&Q, Next, Dunelm, Wren Kitchens, Currys and Argos.

Charlie Greenhalgh, out-of-town retail director at Savills, said: “We are pleased to have secured this deal which will see B&M open a major new store early next year, further enhancing Snipe Retail Park’s strong line up of national retailers.”

Savills also acted for Aberdeen in securing planning permission for the refurbishment. B&M was represented by Burns Property.
