Bluemantle sticks with Pochin at Congleton

Pochin Construction is on site with a new contract for Bluemantle at Congleton Retail Park.

The Alderley-Edge based developer selected Pochin to divide an existing 30,000 sq ft unit on Barn Road to make way for Focus DIY and Marks & Spencer Simply Food. Once the £590,000 shell is complete the tenants will do their own fit-out.

Antony Pochin, business strategy director at Pochin, said: "Pochin has a long-standing relationship with both Bluemantle and Congleton Business Park, having worked on many previous schemes, including the Airbags site as well as the original infrastructure works in the 1990s. Work is now well underway, with practical completion due in mid-August."

John Leighton of Bluemantle comments: "We are very pleased to have negotiated the deal with M&S Simply Food and Focus DIY, which have established a new rental tone for the Park. We continue to work on asset management opportunities and have strong interest in the final remaining 4,000 sq ft unit. We are also looking at developing the Park further by building an additional 5,000 sq ft over the next 12 months."

Congleton Retail and Business Parks are to the west of Congleton town centre, next to the A34 Clayton bypass.
