Blue Sky Club’s next meeting set for 27 February

The next meeting of the Blue Sky Club, established to help property professionals made redundant during the recession keep in touch with the marketplace is to be held on Friday 27 February.

The informal gatherings at All Bar One on King Street have taken place twice so far, in November and December, and around 30 people attended the last one.

Alan Bennett, of Millerbrook Properties, founder of the club, said it has helped prospective employers and dealmakers form new contacts.

Carlisle-based Story Group contacted him to tap into members' knowledge about land deals. Executive recruitment firm Cheetham Hall attended to help redundant surveyors register their CVs and begin searching for new jobs.
