Bloxham joins the Twittering classes

Tom Bloxham, chairman of developer Urban Splash and non-executive director on numerous arts-related boards, is keeping the world up to date with his every meeting via online networking tool Twitter.

Twitter allows users to post brief messages live to their own profile page and is either the next big thing on the Internet or the latest fad that no one will remember by 2010.

Marketing-savvy Bloxham has been a Twitter member since 5 March and has 102 followers on his trail, largely journalists and PRs. He has posted via his phone from Tate board meetings in London and fresh from a swim at his home in the south of France during Mipim.

Bloxham is chairman of Manchester International Festival and a trustee of the Tate UK.
