BLM picks contractor for New Bailey office job
The law firm has appointed workplace design and build practice TSK Group to fit-out its 71,000 sq ft headquarters at English Cities Fund’s Two New Bailey.
Work is expected to begin next month before BLM moves more than 600 staff into the office in the summer.
The project will see the creation of agile working space across four floors, according to TSK.
Tim Crane, account director at TSK, said: “This is a hugely exciting project to be involved with, as we have already created a great working synergy with the BLM team and will work with them to create a fantastic office to support them over the next 10 years of their growth and development.”
In 2019, Place North West revealed that the law firm, which is relocating from its existing base at King’s House on King Street West, had agreed to take space within the 125,000 sq ft building.
Other occupiers at Two New Bailey include fellow law firm Eversheds Sutherland, which signed for 50,000 sq ft in March 2019, and Sainsbury’s, which signed a 25-year lease on a 4,000 sq ft retail unit last year.
English Cities Fund, a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General, and Homes England, appointed contractor Bowmer Kirkland to build Two New Bailey and construction completed in December 2020.
Aviva forward funded the construction of the 11-storey building, designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.
