Blackburn launches new planning guide

A new planning guide has been launched by Blackburn with Darwen Council.

The handbook is aimed at providing an overview of its planning service and relevant advice and information for residents and local businesses.

Titled 'A guide to Development Management in Blackburn with Darwen', the council said it provides useful links and contacts, as well as information about:

• The development management team
• The planning system
• Whether planning permission is needed
• Making a planning application and the planning application process
• Commenting on or objecting to a planning application
• Planning decisions, appeals, and enforcement
• Land charges and searches
• What you can expect from Blackburn with Darwen Council

The council has said a hard copy of the handbook is to be released shortly but the guide can be downloaded from the Blackburn with Darwen Council website
