Birchwood Park MD joins MEPC board

Business park developer MEPC has announced the internal appointment of Jonathan Walsh, long-standing managing director of its Birchwood Park office estate near Warrington, as a main board director.

Rick de Blaby, chief executive of MEPC, said: "We are delighted to welcome such an exceptional talent to the Board. Jonathan is a long-standing employee of MEPC and brings valuable wide-ranging business and marketing experience. This appointment will further strengthen our Board membership as we look to grow the MEPC portfolio. We have spent the last few years successfully positioning MEPC as managing some of the UK's best known commercial property and Jonathan has had an instrumental hand in driving much of MEPC's leasing strategy, it is this particular strength that has awarded him the appointment to the MEPC Board."

Before joining MEPC in 1999, Walsh worked at Lambert Smith Hampton and then King Sturge in Manchester.

He has helped secure 700,000 sq ft of lettings during his ten years at Birchwood. MEPC has eight parks across the UK totaling 9m sq ft.
