Bidding opens for housing refurb framework
Blackpool Coastal Housing has launched a procurement process to select up to 30 contractors to refurbish properties over the next four years.
The budget for the framework is between £19m and £26m and covers new kitchens and bathrooms, replacement gas heating, electrical re-wiring and heating installation, external works, and painting and decorating repairs.
Blackpool Coastal Housing is the arm's length management organisation contracted to manage Blackpool Council's housing stock of 5,800 dwellings, including leasehold flats and maisonettes, hostel rooms and homes let on weekly tenancies that form the majority of the housing stock.
An open day for firms interested in the tenders will be held on 10 April 2012 at Blackpool Football Club, Bloomfield Road, Blackpool.
