Bellway submits plans for 241 homes in Swinton

Housebuilder Bellway has submitted a planning application to Salford City Council to build 241 homes on Campbell Road Wood in Swinton.

The privately-owned site next to Swinton Golf Club includes fields and woodland. Bellway plans to build up to 241 homes of varying types and sizes, alongside a 49-acre country park to the south of the site.

Some of Campbell Road Wood will be retained as part of the plans, while two houses on Campbell Road will be demolished to allow access to the site. According to Bellway, any trees removed as part of the development will be replaced as part of its landscape strategy.

The homes will be a mix of detached, semi-detached, and terraced properties includes 126 three-bed houses, 111 four-beds, and four two-beds, over a net developable area of 17 acres.

The site’s masterplan has been prepared by MCK Associates.

The problem is with adding another housing estate in a small town like swinton is the added traffic to an already very busy town. How many houses will be built there will be double the amout of cars. P.s i live in swinton and i know it won’t help the people or the town of swinton.
