Bellway submits Middlewich homes plan

HOW Planning has submitted a detailed planning application on behalf of Bellway Homes for a housing development in Middlewich, Cheshire.

The application proposes 149 homes, of which 45 will be affordable units. All properties will be two-storey with their own private gardens and parking. No apartments or townhouses are proposed.

Amy James, planner at HOW Planning, said: "All councils are required to demonstrate a five- year supply of housing in their area and this scheme will help Cheshire East Council provide a greater selection of housing choice. By submitting a detailed application, Bellway are demonstrating their commitment to building this scheme at the earliest opportunity, helping to deliver new homes in the area within the next five-year period."

The proposed scheme sits adjacent to Warmingham Lane which leads towards the centre of Middlewich. The surrounding area is predominantly residential with a number of established local services located within easy walking distance.

The proposals include one acre of public open space which will be in a central location and will provide a local equipped area of play. Landscaping and access arrangements are also proposed.
