Bellway plan for 71 Wigan homes approved

The scheme off Mosley Common Road is an extension of a 154-house Bellway Homes site. Together, the two developments are known as Elements.

Wigan Council granted the approval unanimously at its 15 June meeting. The 71 house project will be a mix of semi-detached, detached and mews properties on four acres of land. There will be 20 two-bedroom, 40 three-bedroom and 11 four bedrooms constructed for the project. Each home will be two storeys. Of the 71 properties, only 14 will be affordable housing.

Planning permission also allows Bellway to demolish buildings that are already on the site, including a former vehicle maintenance, storage and logistics depot.

Astle Planning and Design in Chester drafted the plans for the development.
