Begbies Traynor asks Edward Symmons to sell Lancaster plot

Edward Symmons has been appointed by joint administrators at Begbies Traynor to sell a 6.27-acre mixed-use development site in Halton Mills, Lancaster.

The site, near junction of the M6, is one of several in the area formerly owned by Time and Tide (Homes) before the company hit financial difficulties.

Rob Diggle, agency partner at Edward Symmons, said: "The site runs parallel with the north bank of the River Lune and most recently had outlined planning permission for mixed use development, which has now lapsed.

"Lancaster City Council have intimated that they have a preference for commercial development on this site but may consider some residential element within a development brief for it."

Two other former Tide and Tide sites are being marketed by Edward Symmons. A 0.8-acre site at The Gillespies on Mill Lane, Halton, is still available. Wenning House, a substantially completed 12,000 sq ft office also on Mill Lane is under offer.
