BDP hires planner from GVA

The Manchester studio of BDP has appointed George Smith from GVA as town planning consultant.

He spent two years at GVE as a graduate town planner before joining BDP last month.

Among the clients he will be working for is the Kuwait Municipality, as part of the team producing a commercial land use planning framework for the country.

Smith said: "BDP's Manchester studio is rightly renowned for its diversity of exciting and challenging town planning work in the UK and abroad. I look forward to working on the many town planning, urban planning and regeneration projects in the North West and further afield."

Andrew Teage, planning director of BDP, said: "George will be an excellent asset to BDP. He is a young and dynamic town planner with a great future ahead of him, and we look forward to him bringing his many skills to the BDP Planning team."
